2027: Tinubu worst President ever, North finished if he wins again ? Baba-Ahmed

The National Chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, has issued a sharp critique of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, characterizing his tenure as the most damaging in Nigeria’s history and warning of severe consequences for northern Nigeria should the president secure a second term in 2027.

Speaking during a broadcast interview, the PRP chairman highlighted what he described as a complete disconnect between the federal government and the daily realities faced by ordinary citizens:

“The North will be finished if Tinubu wins in 2027. He’s the worst President ever in the history of Nigeria. The problem is the disconnect between the government and the people.”

Baba-Ahmed specifically pointed to President Tinubu’s recent meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja with the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria. During the audience, the religious leaders presented a stark assessment of the nation’s condition, emphasizing widespread hunger, economic distress, and escalating security challenges across the country.

According to Baba-Ahmed, the administration’s rejection of the bishops’ observations demonstrated a concerning unwillingness to acknowledge national hardship:

“Catholic bishops went to the President. These are highly respected people. He must have thought that it would be a good outing for him. Otherwise, he wouldn’t even have agreed to meet them.”

“They went to him, politely said to him, Mr President, the people are not happy with you. They are hungry. They are insecure. There are a lot of problems running in the country.”

“For every issue the bishops raised, the President said, no, you are wrong. I am right. There is no hunger in this country, what you are saying is not true. Now, for goodness’ sake, a President in charge of his faculties, in charge of a country that should have prepared him, would not do this.”
